Part of being a disciple of Jesus means worshiping the God who redeems us and calls us by name. Bethel Church offers weekly worship services to help disciples of Jesus experience the presence of the living God.
Our Vision & Values
Our Vision & Values
Worship.
Part of being a disciple of Jesus means worshiping the God who redeems us and calls us by name. Bethel Church offers weekly worship services to help disciples of Jesus experience the presence of the living God.
Grow.
Being a disciple of Jesus is never over. Bethel offers numerous opportunities to continue to learn and grow as followers of Jesus.
Serve.
Jesus came as a humble, sacrificial servant. His act of service was bringing broken humanity some good news. Being a disciple of Jesus involves sharing this good news through both word and deed.
Together.
Every member of the universal Church - the body of Christ - is called to help, pray for, encourage and challenge fellow believers in their faith. In a world of individualism, Bethel seeks to be a covenant community that is marked by devotion to one another. We worship, grow and serve best together.
What We Believe
The Bible
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings. They are complete revelation of His will for salvation and the final authority in all matters of faith and life.
The Trinity
We believe in the one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are equal in power and glory, the same in substance, and perfectly united in purpose, love and holiness.
God the Father
We believe in God the Father Almighty, the Creator and Sustainer of heaven and earth, who governs all things according to His sovereign will. In love, He chose a people for Himself from before the foundation of the world and works all things for the good of His glory and their salvation.
Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God, made for fellowship with Him and stewardship over creation. Through Adam’s sin all mankind fell, becoming guilty, corrupted in nature, and subject to God’s wrath, unable to save themselves apart from His mercy.
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Through his sinless life, atoning death on the cross, and bodily resurrection, He secured salvation for all who trust in Him alone. He now reigns at the right of the Father and will return to judge the living and the dead.
The Gospel
We believe the Gospel is the good news of God’s grace in Jesus Christ: that while we were dead in sin, Christ died for our sins and was raised for our justification. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone - not by human merit or works. All who repent and believe are forgiven, reconciled to God, and granted eternal life.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. He regenerates sinners, unites them to Christ, indwells and sanctifies believers, equips them with spiritual gifts, and empowers them for holy living and faithful witness.
Covenant
We believe that God works through covenants to accomplish His purposes of redemption, gathering a people for Himself and their children after them. His covenant promises are fulfilled in Christ, who establishes a new covenant in His blood, and the church is called to pass on this faith to future generations.
End Times
We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally, bodily, and gloriously to judge the world and to make all things new. The unrighteous will be raised to eternal judgment, and the righteous in Christ to everlasting life in the new heavens and new earth, where God will dwell with His people forever.
